Italy was the first epicenter of the COVID-19 outbreak in Europe as well in the Mediterranean area. Shipping Industry is one of those that have been affected by COVID-19. Despite negative conditions, shipping lines are continuing their operation. Several difficulties, such as blank sailing in imports, crew changing, rolled cargo bookings, shortage of equipment for reefers containers; surcharges and etc. are challenging the Shipping Industry. We decided to bring together the shipping industry players to discuss the current situation and identify what kind of action can be taken during the post COVID-19 stage in order to accelerate the recovery process.
