Frank started his career in Athens, working for two established ship owners. In 2009 he joined Bernhard Schulte’s ship-owning arm in Hamburg, working up to the position of Technical Manager, supervising the fleet’s technical operations. Apart from newbuilding projects, he worked heavily towards introducing measures to improve the fleet’s fuel consumption and energy management through a series of design modifications and retrofit installations.

Aaron has been focused on executing the growth strategy for Tres while supporting customer success, product strategy, marketing and business development efforts, among others. Aaron was formerly a management consultant with Charles River Associates and PacWest Consulting Partners (acquired by IHSMarkit in 2014), where he advised public and private sector organizations on a range of strategic issues. He delivered projects in the areas of strategy analysis and formation, big data and advanced analytics, operations and implementation, procurement and supply chain strategy, organizational development, and commercial/financial due diligence. Aaron has authored numerous articles on performance strategies and the importance of data centralization and analytics to improve business operations and support ESG initiatives. He has also spoken in various industry forums on the importance of data validation and quality for verification. Aaron holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin

Fleet Performance Manager DORIAN LPG, Copenhagen Office. Managing fleet performance initiatives for 22 DORIAN owned vessels. My passion is to use modern data storage, integration and analytic technologies with data visualisation techniques to understand underlying processes and leverage decision making. I went through IT development to long sea-going career, fuel-performance coaching and IT project management to bind it all for Dorian Fleet Performance.

Since 2007 Hauke has been working in the maritime industry. Starting hands-on in the production and service of valves for major maritime equipment suppliers he diverted into the role as sales engineer. A focus has always been the digitization of shipping, ranging from measurement technology to data acquisition and also including experience in cyber security testing of vessels. In 2021 Hauke was appointed as Head of Sales for the Hoppe Marine Group.

Jakob Buus Petersen is Director and Co-founder of Vessel Performance Solutions. The company was founded in 2014 and specializes in software products and consultancy services within Performance Management for the shipping industry. Petersen holds an MSc in Naval Architecture and a PhD for "Nonlinear Strip Theories for Ship Response in Waves" from the Technical University of Denmark. He began his career with Force Technology, rising to the position of Chief Specialist. Next assignment was as Chief Specialist and Head of the Vessel Performance Department within Maersk Maritime Technology for the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group in Copenhagen. He successfully led the implementation and management of the Vessel Performance Management Service focused on optimizing the operational performance of a large fleet. Later, Petersen joined American Bureau of Shipping as Director of Energy Efficiency. He was responsible for the development and implementation of the classification society's initiatives and programs within performance management. Petersen brings more than 25 years of technical and operational experience to Vessel Performance Solutions and has gained international recognition for his work on ship performance.

Maria Tsompanoglou holds the position of Energy Performance Manager at Pantheon Tankers and Alpha Bulkers since July 2018. She is responsible for the performance monitoring of more than 60 vessels, the majority of which are equipped with on-line data-acquisition systems. Prior to her current role, she worked at Minerva Marine Inc for 21 years as Performance Engineer, as New Buildings Senior Engineer and as Head of Energy Efficiency. Proficient in energy efficiency and environmental compliance issues, with a demonstrated experience in technical tasks, she has been responsible for a number of new buildings other projects, including scrubbers and performance monitoring applications. She has been actively involved in the development of a diesel engine diagnostic system for four and two-stroke combustion engines, in cooperation with the School of Mechanical Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens. Maria holds a Master degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and a Master Degree in Maritime Studies from the University of Piraeus.

Ossi Mettälä has experience in the industry for over 10 years. With his naval architectural background, he has been working with ship design and many novel machinery solutions. The focal point has always been R&D and energy efficiency including ship system simulations, onboard audits, training, and consultation. Whether it has been about ship design or operation, Ossi has always been involved in pushing the industry digitalization forward. Currently, Ossi Mettälä is working as a Customer Success Manager for NAPA Shipping Solutions to provide state-of-the-art performance monitoring and voyage optimization solutions even for the industry segments where high-frequency sensor data is not always available.
