Doctor in Economics, Philippe Guillaumet has been working for Marseille-Fos since 2004. He is in charge of various functions related to strategy, marketing, European affairs and lobbying. He is now in charge of economic intelligence and European and international projects. Since 2018, he has been the General Secretary of the MEDports Association, a non-profit organization gathering 25 of the largest Port Authorities in the Mediterranean area.

Mr. Østervold is the CEO and founder of ECOsubsea which has developed technology that keeps vessels hull free of fouling with a robot that sends all biofouling further to be used in biogas production. The vessels save substantial amounts of fuel and both the water and air environment is kept cleaner. Currently operating from South of UK, Belgium and the Netherlands and servicing leading companies like WWL and Carnival Cruises Corp.
ECOsubsea and its team have since 2008 been awarded the “Young Entrepreneur Award”, “Orcelle Award”, the “Green Shipping Technology Award” in addition to "The Global Freight Award" in 2016 for development of sustainable technology to the shipping industry. Østervold holds a MSc in International Shipping from th eUniversity of Plymouth.

As innovation ‘enablement’ manager for the Port Authority, Piet is one of the drivers of the digital transition in the Port of Antwerp. Based on a founded strategy with a pragmatic approach in executing concrete innovation projects, he makes the ‘Port of the Future’ tangible and leads the development of Port of Antwerp as open innovation platforms (e.g. on smart shipping, drones) - on which startups, companies, knowledge institutions and other authorities create new value for the Antwerp port ecosystem.
In the 90’s, Piet started at one of the most successful startups in the Benelux – Tele Atlas, a producer of digital geographic data – acquired by TomTom in 2008. Between 2011 and 2014 he managed a consultancy firm and was closely involved in the start-ups in the energy sector. Piet holds 2 masters, in History and Spatial and Urban Planning, post-graduates in energy and environmental management and an MBA International management.

Secretary General of the European Sea Ports Organisation (ESPO) since 1/08/2013. Before taking up this function, Isabelle has been working as Director of the European Federation of Inland Ports (EFIP) and Senior Advisor of ESPO for four years. She studied Law (University of Namur and KULeuven) and European Law (UCL Louvain).
Before joining EFIP, she worked in EU Public Affairs for almost 20 years. After a short period at the European Commission (DG Agriculture), she worked in an EU Public Affairs consultancy. In 1994 she started working in the European Parliament, as a political assistant and between 1999 and 2009 she was the political assistant of Dirk Sterckx, where she was mainly active in transport and port-related fields. She is co-author of the handbook “Zo Werkt Europa” (1st edition 2007, 2nd edition 2010, 3 rd edition 2015).

Carles Mayol holds a twenty years’ experience in the maritime-port industry, with several degrees in Shipping, Management and Marketing & Sales, developing responsibilities as a shipping agent in liner and tramp vessels, stevedoring, customs agent and freight forwarder manager. Carles joined Port of Barcelona (Port Authority) in 2010 and holds the position of Commercial Manager.
His main task is promoting the infrastructure, services, new projects and the commercial activity focusing on container business and intermodal flows of the Port of Barcelona. Close follow up activity on container terminals, carriers, freight forwarders, BCOs and end-users.
